OMG, that was SCARY, you guys! My flist somehow chose not to update itself for like FOUR HOURS today, and while I do dearly love Neil Gaiman, I was ready for his stupid lj syndicated blog post to get the fuck off my screen.

And then I had a terrible thought.

It's Friday night! What if everyone else is out doing exciting things and having hot dates? What am I supposed to do with myself now?! Get a life? Please. I tried to focus on the fact that fully half of my flist is addicted to a show that premieres on Friday nights(1), but it was difficult. But finally lj fixed itself, and I saw all the lovely entries, and now I feel much better.

In other news, I am a huge fangirl for mina_de_malfois. Things I am enjoying lately also include:

- toomuchplor's Smallville fanfic and WB RPS. How did I not know this existed? One word: barista!Mike.

- Emails. I love getting emails! If you are ever in doubt about contacting me for random-ass squeeing and/or actual content-filled conversations, do not hesitate to email me. Kalpurna at gmail. Same goes for AIM, on which I am – you guessed it – kalpurna. Ping me anytime. Comment notifications totally count as email too.

- Cute, cute fangirls. There have been a lot of pictures of you all posted lately, and let me just say that for people who spend a lot of time on the internets, we are pretty fucking hot. So props for that.

- Reading Sherlock Holmes slash in between watching episodes of House. Seriously, this works better than you might think, even taking into account the fact that House kind of is Holmes. It's something about the period language being juxtaposed with the preeeety men? Maybe?

- Due South fandom. SO MUCH LOVE, GUYS. I just. I can't even. You are the best on the interweb, and I am writing you a love letter in my heart every day. <3 <3 <3

- My new laptop. This is getting a whole post of its own as soon as I find my digital camera, but be forewarned: kalpurna/new laptop OTP. I named him Rodney, for reasons that will become clear once I find the damned camera.

(1) and seriously, people, have we reflected lately on how sad it is that the SciFi channel deliberately schedules its big premieres for Friday nights? SciFi Friday: because you're not doing anything anyway, loser.
