Vigilante Justice Makes My Teeth Hurt

So, this is fun. While I'm pretty sure none of my interests would have gotten me into trouble, I've still gone ahead and deleted all of them in the name of solidarity. Well – almost all.



I do have all my old interests pasted in a sticky note on my computer, so if this all blows over by tonight, I can add them again in about three seconds. Here's hoping!

I don't think it'll blow over tonight, the Fandom Wankers have blown it all up and over the place. Though, it does appear that only Interests are being targeted right now, and everyone and their mother is adding "freedom of speech" as I type. *g*

Also, hi! Sorry, I stumbled here from your glorious post about why Gerard Way kicks ass, and I added you, hope you don't mind. :-)

Ugh. Yeah, I saw that. I don't reckons it's genuine at all, I reckon it's some trolls who heard the rumour and decided to make it real to get a double-whammy of a) pissing off LJ abuse and b) freaking out all those crazy fanfic writers, and as many other people as possible, all the while not actually stopping and real paedophiles. I mean wow, getting your LJ suspended, THAT'S gonna stop you abusing children if you already do so.

Hmmm, I don't know, that was totally my first reaction – I figured it was some kind of grudge wank. But that blog makes me suspect fouler things afoot. People who think they're righteously pursuing child pornographers are not generally interested in gray areas, and they tend to get their way, if only because they shout the loudest. Vigilante justice, ugh ugh I hate it.

It's made from one of those Bayeux Tapestry macros that are floating around the internet. There are also ones of the Milkshake song and MC Hammer, all in comedy Ye Olde lingo.

And then I find elevnty posts about WfI and the suspensions/deletions.

I removed all but that on principle, even though the raciest thingson there besides names of mangas/semi famous peole were 'slash' and 'yaoi'.
