Oh my darling flist, I THINK WE NEED TO HUG. I say this not merely because my summer, and by summer I mean "2007," hahaha sob, has been generally sucktacular; nor because today I had to open and organize four hundred and sixty-two receipts chronologically before I scanned them all to PDFs by fiscal year. I am not motivated simply by the massive and unbearable fail that has been LJ in general over the past few months, nor any of several deeply depressing wanks! No, my angels, this statement is based on the fact that I logged on just now to browse my flist, and discovered that just about EVERY SINGLE PERSON I know and love is having the worst day it is humanly possible to have. Oh my God! It is unbelievable! I have never seen such widespread unpleasantness in a 24 hour period! I AM SO SO SORRY. I LOVE YOU ALL TREMENDOUSLY. Not one of you deserves the unmitigated awful you have been receiving lately, and if you would like me to choke a bitch, please point me towards that bitch stat.

Anyway, we CLEARLY need to hug. And you know what the LJ version of a hug is: an anonymous love meme!!! Come and shout your love from the rooftops, please, and by rooftops I mean anonymous comments. Pimp this in your journal, so that you can keep on spreading the love to others like Pete Wentz with mono! IP logging turned off, in case your love is embarrassingly intense! Aaand GO.

The things you post about yourself, your honesty and your fear and your frustration, I am amazed by your bravery in putting all that out there. It's more than I could do, for all I try.

Leaving an anonymous comment means I'd have to log out, and that's just way to much work. SO!

Even though yesterday sucked, today I found my new happy thought. It used to be a t-shirt I saw once that had a bird smoking a joint and said 'leave no turn unstoned' but that's been replaced by the image of Pete Wentz and Shaq standing next to each other/playing basketball.

MTV is still good for something, I guess.

So basically I love MTV for putting those two together.

I am not even going to be anonymous! Because I love my f-list and the people who have me friended who talk to me in comments so INSANELY much and I don't care who knows!

I'm not even going to call out individuals, because there are too many awesome people: the insane people who love bandom AS MUCH IF NOT MORE than me; the people who VERY KINDLY tolerate the bandslash malaria even though they are at a TOTAL LOSS to understand it; people who comment with love and hugs when I post misery, and laugh when I post humour, and are thoughtful and smart when I post thinky stuff and leave awesome feedback when I post fic.

I love [livejournal.com profile] yin_again for her boundless warmth and generosity that glows from her LJ, her fic, her feedback, just the random supportive comments she leaves, and her wonderful podfic, which I listen to when I feel bad, not just because her fic is fun and happy, but because she just sounds so nice that it always cheers me up. I love [livejournal.com profile] michigangirl30 because she is a genuinely caring, kind person and I admire her so much for her determination, quick mind and how she faces the challenges and tasks in her life in such a calm, straightforward way. Also she is an amazing mom and a great writer.

I know [livejournal.com profile] joandarck never believes these things, but I'm saying it anyway: she's smart, and kind, and hot, and talented, and so fucking cool. I admire the way she treats people. I love reading her journal, even when I don't have a clue what she's posting about. I feel lucky to know her. Anonymous? What's that?

I love and adore absolutely every single person on my flist (and friends of list, and yes, lurkers too!). I've never been in a fandom that makes me feel so joyous each and every day. All the things that drive me crazy or make me angry pale in comparison to the sheer awesome of bandom. Whether it's the boys themselves or someone discovering an old piece of canon and flailing anew or even just discussing cracktacular ideas for fics we'll never write, I love it all.

Today was kind of shit-tastic, but there are always people here on LJ (and the internet at large) to make me laugh and smile and I can never thank this fandom enough for giving me that. For bringing me to them.

If my journal's nothing but squee, it's because there is no room left in my heart for anything else. ♥♥♥♥♥
