LJ, if you do not stop eating my posts, we are going to have words. Sending me my comments would be nice, too, THANKS.

Hey, I wonder how many of you non-DS people know where Paul Gross Arms come from – you know, these: \o/. Anyone? Here, I will make this my Public Service Announcement of the day, for bandom folks. Paul Gross is a Canadian actor who is very pretty and talented and WONDERFUL. He is good at everything, ever! He writes, and directs, and acts, and produces, and sings like a little bird. He's an impressive guy.

However, he is not, despite what he may believe, a rock star.

DID YOU DO SOME VOODOO BAY-BEE? \o/ \o/

Ahahahaha I never get tired of it. OH PAUL. ♥

I am absolutely postive [livejournal.com profile] brooklinegirl was somehow involved in the coining of the term and emoticon, but I have no idea when or where, so, uh. Babe, if you see this, how exactly did that happen?

I do believe that the emoticon was around before, and known as victory arms or some such, but due South adopted it and MADE IT OUR OWN. Oh Paul Gross, never change. I still love you and like to think about characters you've played, naked.

Oh, yeah, that makes sense. But the PHRASE! They needed to know where the phrase came from. IT WAS MY DUTY AS A PAUL GROSS FAN.

I still love you and like to think about characters you've played, naked.

Mmmm, Fraser. Mmmmmmm, Geoffrey Tennant. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

OMG, you just inflicted Voodoo on bandom? Cruel, woman. Cruel.

Hahahaha, dude, I figured it was FAIR PLAY, considering I inflicted Pete's cock on the rest of my flist. \o/

Well, not all of us... I'm still holding out. *eyes Google search box, but remains firm- er, determined! I remain determined!*

I love you. Also, I do not have that kind of self-control AT ALL. I don't care WHAT fandom it was: if someone on my flist posted about cock shots, I would be all over that like white on rice. I salute you and your superior classiness!

It's only because somewhere in your post/comments there was something about him being uncomfortable with the photos being out there. (Which, why take them, but still.) I have no qualms generally. *squints at Aspen Extreme stills*

Oh, well, that makes sense. Although he has worn a shirt on camera that said "Team Naked Pix," as well as one that said "My P33n Is More Famous Than Me," so he does have a sense of humor about it, at least! But yeah, that's valid. *goes to ogle Aspen Extreme stills again*

Your post is well timed - I had acquired the use of the emoticon without knowing the source and I was JUST googling him earlier this evening!

I sincerely, sincerely hope Paul or his children never Google the phrase "Paul Gross Arms" in quotation marks, because they would get a lot of fandom stuff. Anyway, haha, glad to be of service!

It doesn't even need to be in quotes! *dies* oh, Paul. Please don't start picking up cues from Pete Wentz (though, if you wanted to leak pictures of your cock from like ten years ago, feel free). Be more like Gerard! Stay away from google!

Gerard is smart! He knows to take advice from his brother's t-shirts.

HIS HOME MADE SHIRT. I recognize those letters. Oh Mikeyway.

I KNO! Oh Mikeyway, indeed. &hearts

Unless Gerard made it for him. Which might possibly be even cuter. He went to Art School, you know! *goes distressingly starry eyed*

Those letters ARE awfully straight unlike Gerard. ♥

Oh, Gerard. You're so, so bent. And we love you so, so much.

He is my very favourite crazy bisexual crossdressing cartoonist. I want to snuggle him up and be all genderfucked with him. *misty sigh*

Not that you needed to know that, but, um. He sort of brings it out in me. Sorry.

He's worn a shirt with those iron on letters that says "Don't Google yourself". I tried to find a picture, but I am lazy. I know he was on stage and wearing glasses! If that helps.

Oh, Paul. Never stop being a huge dork. (...of course, the really insane thing is that I actually own the CD. Um. I have shame? He did a little seance and some voodoo!)

HAHAHAHA, OH MAN. I *wish* I owned his CD. Is it still around on Amazon? I mean, clearly I need more songs in my life about kissing people until they weep. ♥

Is the second one Love and Carnage? *looks shifty*

I, uh, think I bought it off ebay, actually. Um. *shifty* Sadly, Voodoo is honestly the best song on it, not counting Ride Forever and Rober Mackensie, which, uh. I mean, his voice is pretty? But those songs, man. One house is full of love and the other of hate! And blind men dance in the rain!

...it sits on the shelf next to my Anthony Stewart Head CD.

Hahahahaha, see, that's totally why I want it, though! I wouldn't even LISTEN to it, I'd just keep it on my shelf. In my life. BEING AMAZING.

HEE. Pete Wentz doing Paul Gross Arms. I can now die happy. \o/ *G*

heeeeeeeeeeee. somewhere, in the far reaches of my LJ, there is an IM thread between me and [livejournal.com profile] estrella30 where she is explaining to me that this weird symbol - \o/ - means cheering. And we went on to decide it looked more like Paul Gross arms (which, up until that point, we'd simply been typing *arms up!* when we wanted to display that.

...and things just went rapidly downhill from there and \o/ went down as part of fannish history and while I'm CERTAIN we weren't the first or only ones to make the PG connection, well, we were still one of the early few.

*arms up*
