Remember when this meme went around in January or so? Yeah, well, I just got around to it. So, ten things!
1. I'm eighteen. Yes, this is very young. I'm precocious?
2. I'm bisexual. Sometimes, people ask me "how I knew." And I respond that at some point, I figured out that wanting to bang chicks was probably not something straight girls were all about.
3. I'm from New Jersey. But let's get something straight: despite the fact that everyone mocks Jersey (and gets it confused with North Jersey), it's a wonderful, complicated, gorgeous ugly state, full of factories and WaWas and beaches and old battlefields and farms and developments, and I love it dearly.
4. I'm all about the OTPs. Seriously. Some more than others, like Fraser/Kowalski (F/K kisses are the BEST!), but pretty much all the slash I read is in one pairing per fandom. Ray/Ray makes me cry.
5. I love linguistics. I also love Latin, Greek, mythology of all kinds, poetry, folktale, and Finno-Ugric languages. When I say I'm a geek, I'm talking about this on levels that go beyond mere fangirling.
6. When I read a story, I'm pretty much always in it for the romance. Like, even when I read stories which are clearly not about the love interest? I'm still all focused on it, to the exclusion of real plot.
7. I'm lazy. I suck at responding to things like comments, posting ever, and finishing things I started. It's a character flaw. Saying this isn't really an excuse, but at least now you know.
8. Everyone in my life knows about my love for slash. My best friend, my parents, my other friends, my family, my high school teachers, random people I meet on the street. I like to explain this by saying that I'm incapable of remaining closeted about anything for very long; it's probably true.
9. I'm massively multifannish. I would honestly say I acquire a new fandom every two weeks. (Not that I usually stick with it, but still.)
crack_van fandom summaries are my lifeblood.
10. I'm half-Jewish. At this point, a lot of Jews will ask, pointedly, "Which half?" (Because in orthodox and conservative Judaism, your mother has to be Jewish for you to "count".) It's my dad's side of the family, and I'm not religiously Jewish; still, I consider myself to be part of the Jewish culture and tradition, and I celebrate things like Passover and Rosh Hashanah.
Now you know!

I totally went "YAAAAY!" when I read the OTPs, especially the last part. *cheers you both* Joan, I also thought of you. Then saw this, and had to comment.
And, awww, we have another baby to join
*gives you a I-consider-myself-Jewish-but-not-religiously high five*

And Paul Gross said, "Ye who wish to think of congress between both my Rays, or even more complicated scenarios involving three-ways with Fraser, verily I congratulate you for your creativity and enthusiasm. And although joandarck will be averting her eyes as quickly as possible because, and I quote, 'it burns,' so what? Each shall find the slash that pleaseth them."
