In other news, I GOT A JOB. Full-time, baby! \o/ Now I just convince my mom not to freak out, secure transportation and floor space, and I'm in business for Cobras this coming weekend in Cambridge. :D If you think you're driving up and might have a spare seat, or if you have a patch of carpet with my name on it, please let me know!

ETA: Oh hey, I forgot to mention that I burned my lip on a piece of pizza and now I have a big awful blister. AND I've been dyeing the cushions from the chairs on my screened porch green, so my hands look like the hands of a dead person. Aren't you glad I keep you up-to-date on these fascinating details?

SO on a totally different, but still music-related, note, last night I went to this ( hilariously tiny and wretched bar in Trenton. )
I think my favorite part of the night was ( GABE SAPORTA REINCARNATED. )

It continues to enrage and distress me that I won't be able to watch Patrick Stump in his small-screen debut. Whyyyy did I buy those tickets for January 2nd? WHY?

So this makes me feel really guilty in that I am POSITIVE thousands of amazing fics have been posted in the last three days and I haven't read them, but I did read this: Patricksitting (Call It A Love Song) which is ( good. )

I got iPod speakers for Christmas! Hooray! Also, two nearly-identical pairs of red fuzzy pants, because my mother and my sister-in-law aren't very good at coordinating their gift-giving.

I also got Christmas cards from sparktastic and mrsronweasley and oh shit, definitely other people, but I don't know where I put them. CRAP. I suck at life. If you sent me a Christmas card, I love you a LOT, even if I, uh. Can't name you at this precise moment.

I can has a quettaser tomorrow and Saturday and a helleboredoll next week and a greyandgrey sometime soon and Cobras in January and Marty Dressler in LESS THAN A WEEK.

I got the Jens Lekman album for Christmas, too, and I don't know how I feel about it quite yet, but here it is, if you're interested! This is the one Ryland has been reccing from here to kingdom come, so hey, worth a listen.

Another thing that's worth a listen: Baby, It's Cold Outside, performed by Greta Salpeter and Thomas Dutton. ( WHAT HAS HAPPENED HERE!? )

Less than a week before this unprintable year is over. Oh my Jesus, I don't think I can convey in mere words how ready I am.

I have the most horrible and overwhelming urge to write ( fic where a band boy bodyswaps with a fangirl. )

I have at long last reached the point of having a Last.FM that reflects my taste enough to make the recommendations feature useful, which is pretty cool and I'm enjoying it.

My Christmas so far has been, to be totally honest, stressful. ( But stressful mixed with nice bits. )

I didn't get it together to send the family Christmas card to anyone this year, but ( this is what it looked like. )
