So I got a Chicago VIP ticket to see Ryan Rossy and Greta of my heart, which is mildly hilarious in that I don't actually know that I will be in Chicago on May 23! Ahahaha, um. I... I don't know. I guess it will all work out somehow. My bank account is what you might call "fucked" but I don't even care. Well, I care a little. Paycheck, where are youuuu? Although the company I rent my apartment from has apparently decided to smile down upon my support of ridiculous hippies by deciding a) not to require a security deposit any longer and b) to apply the security deposits they've already gotten from us towards rent for February. I don't have to pay rent this month! Have you ever heard of such a thing? Me neither, but I'm not questioning my good luck. \o/

I'm not even kidding with how much I loooove this baaaand, though. THEIR TINY FACES. THE ROSSOTONE! And I think that it was WELL WORTH the price of my box set just to refresh the PATD comments and watch people lose their actual shit. My favorite was when someone asked "raise your hand if you got one" and someone else replied "RAISE YOUR HAND AND I'LL SNAP IT OFF." Ahahahahahahahaha! This is why bandom is my favorite, you guys. I never stayed up for hours throwing pillows at my laptop for any of my TV or book fandoms. YESSSS.

Oh my god, I'm so sick, though. I slept all day and woke up in a panic (HA) at 5:03 PM emailing Allison to see if she got me a ticket or if I was supposed to get one myself or what.

Last night, I had a sex dream about Jon Walker. This is the first dream I've ever had about someone I don't know in real life, I think! ( It was kind of the best ever )

In less TMI news, today was lovely in the city, warm enough that I took off my sweatshirt and went down to the lake they call Michigan to stand with my feet in the water. Some guy told me to smile, and I flipped him off, and then felt really good about it. Men of Chicago: if I'm not smiling, I probably want you to get the fuck out of my business.

1) You know what I love? Going back once I'm well involved in a fandom, and rereading the fic that I read when I barely knew what the characters' names were. Best ever.

2) YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I LOVE? That I just signed my very first lease! YES! I will be living in an apartment, an adorable, awesome apartment with light and windows and counter space, starting in September. Three bedrooms, for me and two roommates. I am so thrilled. And it's only a few blocks from etben's place, so that's totally a plus!

3) Bandslash fandom keeps on filling needs I didn't know I had, y'all. I thought I needed hooker!Pete, but I was wrong: what I needed was INTERPLANETARY HOOKER PATRICK. Yes.

4) It is actually possible that all you need, all you really need to get me head-over-heels in love with a fandom, is a Harlequin Romance Challenge. It worked for SGA, and by God, it is SO working for bandslash.

5) Here's some things I think every fandom needs! ( Oh, hey, let's do a poll, actually. )

1. Since I had to write two papers for today, I figured it was probably wise to wait until 9:30 last night to think about what my thesis statements should be. Good times.

2. Biting all my nails down to the quick so that they bled, that was a fun one. It's hard to type with bandaids on all ten fingers, I'll tell you that much for free. I normally don't bite my nails, but when I do, I guess I really give it my all.

3. Going to classes wearing ballet flats without socks. In the snow.

Hey I did get a 102% on my phonetics test though that was cool (even though I hate phonetics with every fiber of my being and wish it would just die die die)

Aaand now I'm going to bed. Probably my best move all day, honestly.

It has been ASS COLD in Chicago this weekend.

How cold, you ask?

SO COLD. Cold enough that the inside of my nose freezes when I'm outside for more than 45 seconds, and I feel like my face is going to fall off. -25º F with windchill cold. The kind of cold that has the government warning people not to go outside for more than half an hour because they'll get frostbite. INUVIK COLD. With polar bears on top. I have been huddled inside trying to stay alive.

Also, I may or may not have eaten an entire packet of pre-made cookie dough in an attempt to build up my fat reserves (which, uhm, it could be argued, are already sufficient). And I'm out of clean socks. So classy, you guys.
