Oh my God, Buffy Sing-Along was WAY TOO AWESOME. Like, I think it HURT me a little with its amazingness. We got to the theater around 11:40, after meeting [livejournal.com profile] shoemaster, and promptly started freaking out because the line was literally TWO BLOCKS LONG. (I don't know why we were flipping our shit, because we'd already bought tickets online, but whatever, we were nervous.) But the line actually moved super fast, and we did end up getting three seats together (although it was a close call). The theater was huge, and ornate, and just PERFECT for Once More With Feeling. It was also jam-packed: I think it must have sold out, and there were, like, a thousand seats at least. I'm totally going back there for Rocky Horror Picture Show next time they have it.

They warmed us up with some Buffy-oke, which involved people from the audience getting up and acting out scenes from Buffy. The second one was a bit from Dopplegangland, where evil!Willow is macking on fuzzy!Willow, which ends with the immortal line, "I'm all evil! And skanky! And I think I'm kinda gay!" Willow is not gay Joss she is bisexual omg. Had to get that out of my system, sorry, moving on. I'm pretty sure the girls in front of us were slashers, or if not, they should have been, because they kept cheering the gay parts, and when the MC said "I would have picked two guys for Willow, but they probably wouldn't have licked each other," they were all *sad face*. When they asked the audience if anyone there had never seen Buffy? TWO people raised their hands. Sorry, guys! That must have been kind of weird for you two. But we'll all totally lend you our DVDs.

During the show itself, the energy in the room was just FANTASTIC. They projected the words on the screen during the songs, so absolutely EVERYONE was singing along (minus the guy next to me, who was blank-faced through the whole thing. What's the deal, guy next to me? You were harshing my vibe a little!) and it sounded unbelievable. I was just grinning and singing and grinning and singing and accidentally changing key and it was fabulous. Meela (rl best friend) was next to me, and she's got a really lovely and determined soprano, so I had it easy as far as keeping on tune. We were even working some harmony on Giles and Tara's duet. There honestly wasn't that much RHPS style participation, if only because there wasn't time, but we did get little champagne poppers to pop for Tara's "You make me com-plete, you make me com-"

After the show, we were making our way home (stepping around two piles of vomit. Guys, when you puke in the street, please can you aim for the gutter?) when Meela called halt to go into CVS and buy a package of break-and-bake cookie dough and a bottle of milk. As we left the store, already eating, the counter dude goes, "Hey, aren't you supposed to cook that?" To which Meela literally said, "PSHAW." We are infinitely classy y'all.

Anyway, I think they're doing a tour this summer, and you guys, you have to go. NERD PARTY. I'll even give you their website (warning: myspace). January 19th and 20th they're in NYC! Doooo iiit.

Dude. That sounds UNBELIEVABLY COOL. *envies* But seriously, guy next to you, why the buzz kill? That's not buddies.

And dude, do not EVEN get me started on people who vomit in inopportune places. Was it really necessary to puke on not one, but both sets of stairs, partiers in the other apartments? Is the grass not good enough for you? *hates with the passion of a thousand suns*

Dude, that sounds so unbelievably fangeeky and amazingly fun! *g*

Almost as much fun as I'm gonna have at Gurlesque Burlesque tonight!

In other news, I think I slept/internetted through brunch and will have to venture elsewhere for food. bummer.

That sounds so, so SO fabulous (aside from, yannow, guy beside you and the vomit later, obviously) and just JEALOUS and eeeeeeeeee. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay Buffy!
