So, um. If I were to need a beta for the bandslash high school AU I am totally not writing, oh my God – HYPOTHETICALLY, if I were to need this beta – is there anyone out there who might be up for that? If I were writing it, it would be mainly Pete/Patrick and Brendon/Ryan. (IF I were writing it. Which I'm not.)

ETA: You guys, it's EATING MY BRAIN.

"No, you don't... I mean, Pete's straight." Ryan rolls his eyes dramatically.

"Okay, he asked you if you wanted to talk Morrissey sometime. Don't even tell me that's not code for 'Let's have gay sex.'"

God, I don't know. *cries* This fandom, like, AMBUSHED ME IN THE NIGHT. Ahaha, and Amelia not only a) is not a slasher, but b) has really sophisticated indie taste in music, so she is ashamed of me on at LEAST two levels. SIGH.

You could try

weemo_closet which is full of nervous bandslash newbies? You have to join, but the mod is someone I know, and it's not scary.

(Here's my one concern about writing FOB slash -- you just KNOW that if anyone in the WHOLE WORLD is out there reading his own slash, it's Peter Wentz. Seriously. The man probably has a slash sockpuppet on damnyouwentz, at a *minimum*).

Right, so I've been in the fandom since, like, Saturday night, but I'd totally beta for you. *g* When do you think you might--hypothetically--need a beta? Because if I know myself, I'm going to spend the next few days scouring lj and the internets and my back issues of Rolling Stone (so glad I keep them!) and so I'm sure I'll know something about canon soon... Mostly because I am that much of an obsessive loser. *g*
