Hey dudes, it's been a while! Sorry I suck at updating, and I'm still planning to get pictures of my new apartment up soon. (Spoiler alert: it rules.)

I woke up today with a fucking migraine, again. Holy Christ I hate them. HAAAAAAAATE. I take caffeine pills to help with the migraine, and then I can't even sleep through it, so I just have to lie in a dark room, and I can't even use my computer until the photosensitivity passes, because hi, staring at a LIGHTBULB, and just. MIGRAINES. DO NOT WANT.

I've been reading the archives of Pete's journal on the FBR site, and it's... interesting. I don't know. It makes me think a lot, I guess. About who he really is and how well we understand him and the places where we get him more than he realizes and the places where we're way off-base. Being a fan is a strange thing.

And finally, in FAR MORE HORRIFYING NEWS, a friend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous because she still possesses actual shame sent me THIS, after a discussion of how much funnier Fall Out Boy lyrics are if you imagine them as love letters to Hemmy:

1. One of the Top Five Reasons Why I Love You So Much Sometimes It Hurts A Little is the way you so perfectly verbalize and elaborate upon things i think/have recently thought about but never post/get a chance to talk to anyone about, but then i look at your journal and Voila! Someone else is thinking the same things, and saying something about it in a much better way than i ever could. Which is to say, last month i started at the chronological beginning of the FBR journal and tried to read my way up through, but gawed... it just hurts to know these things about this person and to care so much about him and his stupid life and yet to be so completely separate from and unable to hug/comfort/molest/say 'yeah, i know, right?' to him.

And i think you're totally right-- a lot of the interpretation of Pete that appears in fic just does not mesh up with the weird hodge-podge of Pete that we get in canon. I think maybe it's just difficult to capture such a.... well, let's just say 'dynamic' personality in any one fic? Like how to get the insecurity without over-doing it into 14 yr old girl land and the playfulness and craving for affection/approval without making him obnoxious puppy!pete. I think most fics entirely bypass the intelligence and moments of self-judgement/mocking. And that's not even the start of it all-- it's just a lot to get pull all together. I have no idea how he holds it together in RL.

2.NOW FURRIES DON'T SEEM SO BAD AS AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR BESTIALITY, NOW DO THEY. ;P

1. Okay, at first I thought you were going to say that I had perfectly verbalized your sekrit Pete/Hemmy OTP. But no, you decided to be all sweet and thinky instead of disturbing. ♥ ♥ ♥ That's such a nice thing to say. I know exactly what you mean about it hurting - the idea that I would go to a meet & greet and say, "Hey, your band means a lot to me," and have him blow it off or not get it or just - I mean, he give us so much of himself, you know? But it's not all of it, and I need to remember that. But it's so much! But it's not everything. And he's never going to really get what he means to me, it's - I don't know. I don't know! It's just a really weird situation.
