SPEAKING of bizarre yet awesome fannish tropes, the results of the other day's highly scientific poll! By a narrow, narrow margin, it seems that undercover homos are the number one MOST NECESSARY thing for a fandom to have. YAY. Coming in tied at a close second, we have hooker fic; someone (pref. aliens) makes them do it; and Harlequin Challenges. Which seems about right. Tentaclefic and gaybashing got the least love, which... actually, probably says good things about our priorities? 17 of you think all fandoms require a high school AU, which is good motivation for me, right? But NONE of you have written one! However, TEN of you have written genderfuck. Oh, I love me some DS fandom, no lie. ♥

Everyone also agreed that I should have included bodyswap and sex pollen/drugged fic. They were right! Both of those things RULE.
